Venue Description

The Studance Lab is a Dance Studio, ideal for workshops, rehearsals, choreography sessions, singing, drama and dance classes of all kinds. The Studance Lab is located on the south side of Van Buren and 127th Ave, in the Avondale Commerce Center, behind Legacy Traditional School and The Vitamin Shoppe. Easily accessible from the i10 Freeway and Fairway Dr Exit.

Rental Application Procedures

Please email your application with date and time preferences so that your application can be considered and processed. If your preferences are not available, we will be in contact to discuss other options. Once arrangements are confirmed, your upfront deposit will guarantee your reservation.

Studio Use Guidelines

Use of The Studance Lab Studios is contingent upon the renters understanding, acceptance and adherence to the following policies. Please review and sign these policies. As this is a commercial facility, the management of The Studance Lab has the right to refuse any application and their decision is final.

• Any changes after you have submitted your application must be approved to management in writing.
• Please note that appropriate dance shoes are required. Heels should be free of protruding nails, and any taps must be firmly affixed to shoes.
• Repairs to damaged floor will be charged accordingly.
• The person whose name is on the application as renter must be the first person in the door on the day of the event, and must remain on site throughout the entire event. Only the authorized renter may operate the sound system.
• If another group is scheduled in the dance studio immediately before yours, please wait outside the studio until your rental time begins.
• The Studance Lab is not responsible for accidents, injury, illness or loss of group or individual property. Please remind all participants to take safety precautions. You must have your own public liability. By proceeding with this agreement, you confirm you are responsible for any accidents, injury, illness or loss of group or individual property.
• If there is an accident, injury, illness, theft or other incident, immediately notify The Studance Lab management. If there is no one available, phone 911.
• Groups with minors (under age 18) must provide an adult supervisor at a ratio of 1 for every 15 minors. Do not leave minors unattended in the studio. Do not allow children to play on (hang from) the barres.
• Do not put tape on the dance floor. It damages the surface.
• Do not affix anything to the mirrors, walls or windows. Do not drag props, tables or chairs across the dance floor.
• Bottle water ONLY is permitted in the dance studio but should be kept and consumed in the drinks area. Other beverages, food and chewing gum are not permitted in the studio at any time.
• Animals, with the exception of working service dogs assisting persons with disabilities, are not permitted in the building.
• Smoking is not permitted anywhere in or around the building.
• If you wish to videotape or photograph, you assume all responsibility for legality of taping, copyright of choreography and music, including securing appropriate releases from performers and from copyright holder, in the case of copyrighted music, scripts or choreography.
• Please exit promptly. There may be a group or class scheduled right after yours.
• Please make sure the stereo, air condition equipment and fans are turned off when you leave.
• Make sure the lights are turned off when you leave if you are the last person to use the studio.
• If you are a regular renter and have been issued a key, please lock all exterior doors. If you have not been issued a key, please check out with the studio manager so they can lock up the studio.
• If you noticed any problems with the facility or its equipment, please notify management at Contact@studancelab.com, so we can repair the problem as soon as possible.

Liability Statement

In submitting and signing this application, I certify that I have read, understand and will abide by the facility rules and regulations set forth. I certify that the renters’ detailed on the enclosed permit is in compliance with The Studance Lab’s rules and regulations and certificates of insurance requirements and is subject to approval by management or the assigned representative. Applicant agrees to hold the individual members thereof, all officers, agents, and employees free and harmless from any loss, damage, liability, cost or expense that may arise during and related in any way by the use and occupancy of facility, to the extent such loss, damage, liability, cost or expense arise out of negligent acts or omissions of applicant.

I, the undersigned, will be responsible for any damages sustained to the facility. Any lost equipment or damages sustained to The Studance Lab property shall be compensated within seven days. I agree that this reservation is granted with the understanding that The Studance Lab may cancel when the facility is needed for The Studance Lab programs.

Full payment must be given 7 days prior to the reservation date. Failure to submit payments by the designated date will result in loss of the contract, and the studio will be released. It is my responsibility to notify The Studance Lab of any cancellations or revisions on my part 10 days prior to the reservation date. Failure to do so will result in my fees being withheld.
